Day of Caring United Way, Opportunity House and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive at the Opportunity House on Wednesday, September 15 from 9 AM until 1 PM. The blood drive will be held the day before UWHC's annual Campaign Kick-Off and Day of Caring so that volunteers can participate in both. Location: The Opportunity House Refreshments: Provided by Atlanta Bread Company, Prizes: Donors may enter a drawing for a Rick Steves’ Day Pack, Blood can be safely donated every 56 days. Most healthy people age 17 and older, or 16 with parental consent, who weigh at least 110 pounds, are eligible to donate blood.
