The Local Board for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program has been notified the national program’s funding has been determined. This federal funding is designated to supplement and expand the work of local social services agencies, both nonprofit and governmental, to assist individuals with emergency rent, mortgage and utility payments. For 2021, Henderson County was awarded $26,808 through the Phase 38 of the Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program set-aside funds.
