United Way of Henderson County (UWHC) has added six community leaders to its 2022 Board of Directors: Kyle Bartley, Julia Hockenberry, Sylina Holbrook, Amy Lynn Holt, Kevin Todd and Michelle Tracz.
Bartley is the owner and president of Reliant Service Group, Inc., which has divisions in IT services (Reliant Data Solutions), Printing and Mailing (Reliant Mailing Services) and Retail Pack and Ship (Mail Box & Pack). He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Bartley is a 2018 graduate of the Rising Leaders program and has served on the Rising Leaders Committee for three years and on the Basic Needs/Crisis Services panel for two years.
Hockenberry is the Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County, and will be serving as the Agency Representative to the Board. She began with the Club in 2009 as resource development director where she focused on diversifying philanthropy to sustain and grow the Club’s impact, and has served as the organization’s executive director since 2016. Prior to her position at the Club, Hockenberry worked for 10 years as a reporter and news director for radio stations and newspapers in Winston Salem, NC, Annapolis, MD, and Marble Falls, TX. She graduated from Florida State University, majoring in music.
Holbrook is a Human Resources Generalist with GE Current, a Daintree Company. She is a native of Henderson County and began her career at the GE Current Hendersonville plant in 1997. Since then, she has developed 25+ years of experience in Leadership, Quality and Manufacturing Operations. Holbrook graduated from Mars Hill University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Holt is the Major Gifts Officer at Champion Comfort Experts, a company she and her husband founded in 2004. She has served on the Henderson County Board of Public Education for 11 years and currently serves as the Vice-Chair. An active community volunteer, Holt is currently a member of the Crossnore Children’s Home Advisory Board, the Henderson County Republican Women’s Club, AdventHealth Foundation’s HERizons group, and Biltmore Baptist Church. She presently serves as Chair of United Way of Henderson County’s Women United Executive Committee.
Todd is currently serving as the Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Edneyville. He has worked with several nonprofit organizations over the course of his time in Western North Carolina, including the Society of St. Andrew, Root Cause Farm, and Veteran’s Healing Farm. Todd is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and Trevecca Nazarene University.
Tracz is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) with over 30 years’ experience encompassing public accounting, internal auditing and compliance, as well as financial management in manufacturing and not for profit industries. She established Michelle Tracz, CPA, CFE, PLLC, as an accounting and consulting practice in 2012. In addition to running the firm, Tracz also serves the community in several volunteer roles: Chair of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Leads South Group; Member of the Small Business Committee of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce; Treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce; Member of the Business & Industry and Not for Profit Resource Groups of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants; and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina CPA Foundation.
