Bikes 4 Kids NC was born of the Tempo Cyclisme cycling club and fueled by the belief that every child deserves the simple joy of owning a bicycle. The Tempo Project understands that a bike is not just a mode of transportation; it symbolizes freedom, empowerment, and the pure exhilaration of childhood. 

Bikes 4 Kids NC is an annual raffle open to anyone who would like to purchase a ticket to support the program. The raffle concludes at the end of summer with a drawing for the grand prize, a Specialized Carbon Fiber Stump Jumper 15 with Electric Transmission (Medium). 

In 2023, the Bikes 4 Kids NC conducted a community-wide fundraising campaign, and members purchased, assembled, tested, and delivered more than 70 bicycles for local children during the holiday season. The 2024 Bikes 4 Kids NC campaign resulted in the purchase of 165 bicycles, and in 2025 the project exceeded its goal of 200 bicycles and helmets.
