May 22:  Ribbon Cutting for the Born Learning Trail at the Oklawaha Greenway at 3pm

The Born Learning Trail is a series of 10 interactive signs that offer fun, active learning for young children. The trail is designed to support parents and caregivers in their critical role as a child’s first teacher, and creates a vibrant play and learning opportunity within local parks. Oklawaha Greenway is located at the parking lot off Balfour Road in Berkeley Park, Hendersonville.

Women United Events

July 14:  28th Annual Kimberly-Clark Golf Tournament

Join us at Etowah Valley Golf Club for the annual tournament hosted by Kimberly Clark and benefiting United Way of Henderson County. The tournament can accommodate up to 120 golfers for 18-holes. The tournament is Captains Choice and begins at 9am with a shotgun start. The event includes a light breakfast, on-course lunch, complimentary beverages and snacks, a raffle, and awards for the first and second place teams. Click here to register.

July 16:  Rising Leaders Drop-In Information Session

Drop-in to Oklawaha Brewing Company (147 1st Ave E in Hendersonville) between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Rising Leaders attend monthly sessions from August through March on topics such as board member roles and responsibilities, fundraising, and nonprofit life cycles. Sessions also include an opportunity to visit nonprofit organizations to experience their work first-hand. The final session includes a speed matching event with representatives from 20 nonprofits networking with each of the Rising Leaders. Interested in learning more? Drop-in and visit with us.
