Kat Carlton

Director of Community Development

Kat joined the UWHC team as Director of Resource Development in August of 2019 and expanded to Director of Resource Development and Marketing in 2020. In 2023 she took on the new role of Director of Community Development, a role that oversees and ties together our community impact, fundraising, and marketing work to create and identify opportunities to diversify our fundraising portfolio and expand our ability to positively impact the lives of residents in Henderson County. Prior to United Way, Kat served as the Grants Manager for MANNA FoodBank and worked as an international programs manager for a non-profit aimed at strengthening clinical disease management and emergency medical response in low resource communities. Kat holds a BA in International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management with a degree in finance and program management. Grounded in a foundation of philanthropy, Kat has over a decade of experience overseeing program, financial, and operational management in both corporate and non-profit settings. Kat is also a professional ski instructor and whitewater guide who enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
